At 33, Dr. Hieu has made remarkable contributions to AI-powered medical imaging, with his VinDr system already deployed in 40+ hospitals and assisting 300,000+ patients monthly. His research, published in journals like Scientific Data and Neurocomputing, has gained international recognition, with over 1,750 citations worldwide. Dr. Hieu was the primary author of three research papers featured in well-known journals like Scientific Data and Neurocomputing. His work has garnered significant attention, with more than 700 research groups worldwide citing these studies. The research primarily explores how artificial intelligence can be applied to medical imaging, particularly in analyzing chest X-ray data (VinDr-CXR) and detecting breast cancer (VinDr-Mammo).
