Kien Dang is a PhD student in the Department of Pathobiology, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). He works under the guidance of Professor Csaba Varga and Professor Thanh Huong Nguyen.

Kien’s research interests are microbiology, antimicrobial resistance, and molecular biology. His current research focuses on detecting and preventing the spread of antibiotic resistance through a One Health approach.
