Research Assistant (Medical Image Processing)
We are looking for a #VinUni student to work as an ML Research Assistant at the VinUni-Illinois Smart Health Center (#VISHC) and extend our work “ConPro: Learning Severity Representation for Medical Images using Contrastive Learning and Preference Optimization”, which recently got accepted to #CVPRW 2024. Task description:
As an ML Research Assistant for Medical Image Processing, you will play a crucial role in advancing the development of machine learning algorithms and techniques for analyzing and interpreting medical images. You will work closely with researchers and medical professionals to explore innovative approaches to solve problems in the medical domain including severity ranking, representation learning, generative AI, and medical image segmentation/disentanglement. Your responsibilities will include data preprocessing, feature extraction, model development, validation, and integration into existing medical imaging workflows. Additionally, you will contribute to the dissemination of research findings through publications and presentations.
Skills required:
– Solid background in Computer Vision (medical domain is a plus), Representation learning, diffusion-based models, and Learning to rank (Optional)
– Previous experience in writing/reading research papers, critical thinking, communication skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and presentation skills.
– Hands-on experience with Machine Learning Framework such as Pytorch/TensorFlow, scikit-learn, OpenCV, and CUDA training.
